William F. Long, age 77, of Wheatland, Iowa, died Died Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Bettendorf Health Care Center in Bettendorf, Iowa. William was born April 10, 1929, in LeClaire, Iowa to Emery and Stella Long. William married Waneva "Elaine" Haggy on April 26, 1958; she died November 4, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, Iowa. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wheatland. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, August 28, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland. William was preceded in death by his parents and wife. William was survived by his son, Jerry of Wheatland, his grandchildren Jessica and Brady of Wheatland, and brothers, Robert of LeClaire and James of East Moline.
