William J. Tenley, age 64 of Anamosa and formerly of Stanwood, passed away on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 27 from 2-5 P.M at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Burial will be held at a later date. Bill was born on January 23, 1952 to James and Elizabeth "Betty" (Johnson) Tenley in Cedar Rapids. He married Darcie Hormann on October 16, 1971 in Clarence. Bill worked in auto parts sales all of his life and had a great sense of humor along with a passion for historic guns. He loved his grandchildren dearly along with camping and being around the water. He is survived by his wife, Darcie of Anamosa; sons, Bob (Katherine) of Dallas, TX. and Brian (Jodi) of Morley,IA.; daughter, Becky (Anthony) Bardgett of Manchester; father, James Tenley of Stanwood; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Scott (Carlene) Tenley of Olin. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Greg.
